Verdant Energy Expands into the Philippines Market
We are proud to announce the acquisition, with our partners RASLAG Corp, of the operating asset, Philippines Hybrid Energy Systems Inc. (PHESI), a 16 MW Wind Farm, compromising 8 wind turbine generators, with a 6 MWh Battery Energy Storage System; the first operating asset of its kind in the Philippines.
This project is located in the municipality of Puerto Galera, in the province of Oriental Mindoro. The project supplies clean energy to Mindoro Island, which is currently not connected to the Philippines’ national grid and faces challenges related to power costs and supply stability.
This milestone marks Verdant Energy’s first step into wind and energy storage in the Philippines and reflects our continued commitment to advancing clean, reliable energy across Southeast Asia.
